As an independent opticians practice, we believe in giving you that little bit extra. We want to provide our customers with professional and thorough eye health care. At our practice we use the latest state of the art eye care technology, diagnostic techniques and treatments, a comprehensive eye examination, a clear explanation and answers to your questions.
Optometrist and owner, Shane Quinn graduated from the University of Manchester in 1995. He has gained a huge amount of experience in providing customers with thorough, in-depth health and vision evaluations with solutions.
Did you know you are not restricted to a particular Optician like a Doctor or Dentist? At Look Eyecare, we always welcome new patients, both NHS and private.
Shane, proud father of Eimear and Dara, who both wear glasses, likes to stock trendy frames to keep his younger clients happy.
Children are very important at Look Eyecare. We have a fantastic range of kids eyewear.
We offer NHS and private eye tests, quality products and value for money and all our eye tests incude Digital Retinal Photography. We are proud to one of the few practices to offer an OCT scan which is like an MRI scan or an Ultrasound scan that gives a 3D image of the back of the eye. This helps to detect conditions such as Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration and Diabetes at the earliest stage.
We fit all types of Contact Lenses and all ages are catered for. Whether it be for all the time wear, for sports or purely for cosmetic reasons.
We are wheelchair friendly with eye tests carried out on the ground floor.
Look Eyecare have an in-house optical laboratory with hi-tech equipment whch means most glazing can be done on site, giving greater control over quality and turnaround time.

Shane Quinn BSc MCOptom
Shane has been wearing glasses since he was aged 7 and began wearing contact lenses when 12 to allow him to participate in various sports when glasses were holding him back. "I have always been interested in how important good eyesight is. When still at school I had a part-time job in an Opticians in Omagh, where I am from, glazing the lenses into customers glasses.
I headed off to the University of Manchester and graduated in 1995. I spent almost 3 years working all over the North West of England before returning to work in Belfast. With all these years of experience, I wanted to provide a high standard of eyecare with first class customer service and use highly innovative equipment, so in June 2015, I opened Look Eyecare.
In my spare time, I compete in triathlons and have taken part in all distances from Sprint to Ironman events. "If I still have time, I also enjoy a round of golf."
